Engine Management System
Navman Wireless Engine Management System (EMS) is a telematics monitoring system providing truck fleet operators with a complete picture of truck and driver performance.
Functioning as a monitoring and reporting tool, EMS captures live feeds of individual truck data – such as speed, braking patterns, oil pressure and fuel consumption – and combines it with Navman Wireless' industry-leading GPS tracking system to pinpoint patchy driving behaviour, vehicle performance and top-line indicators of possible maintenance issues.
EMS benefits
EMS is an investment in your businesses bottom-line, paving the way for vehicle operating and maintenance cost savings, and extending the life of your trucks. Truck fleet operators have said EMS reduces maintenance costs by as much as 25-to-30 percent.

How EMS works
The engine management unit (EMU), fitted in the truck captures and collates second-by-second vehicle data from a standard heavy vehicle CANbus2. The EMU sends the relevant information to the Navman Wireless Qube, which synchronises vehicle information with GPS tracking data and wirelessly transmits it to Navman Wireless's central servers. Navman Wireless's OnlineAVL desktop application and web-based management reporting suite provides fleet managers with instant access to individual vehicle trip analysis.
