From our beginnings in an Auckland garage to the global company of today, Navman Wireless (part of Navman until July 07) has always been a pioneer in GPS technology.
We were founded in 1986 as Talon Technology by Peter Maire working in his Auckland garage. That garage-based enterprise grew to become Navman an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), later adding the in-car and personal navigation products and further expanding into the B2B market with vehicle tracking solutions in April 2001, setting up Navman Wireless's first operation in the UK.
Navman Wireless is now a global provider operating in UK, USA (head office located in Chicago), NZ, Australia, Chile, Spain, Italy and Denmark.
Navman Wireless was launched in Australia in 2003 and has experienced incredible growth by offering value, reliability and service to a wide range of small, medium and Enterprise sized service, sales and distribution companies through a proactive and focused dealer channel.

In July 2007, Navman Wireless became as a stand alone company. Navman Wireless continues to be run by the successful senior management team that has driven its sustained growth and development.
